Project Description

This 7-month long project carried out in 2007 December was about strengthening of existing inventory management systems at the ART Centres across the country through more stringent monitoring and supervisory practices. The project sought to enable uninterrupted supply of drugs through early warnings on excess/stock-out situations. The project also sought to institute a strong monthly/quarterly reporting mechanism at all levels, with a view to strengthening Health System Management under the project. Regular drug briefings were carried out during the project contract period, projecting expected stock availability. Receipt of drug supplies from the respective manufacturers to the ART Centres were co-related as per Consignee and list to ensure that all drugs procured were received as per schedule.
