SAMS is the first private sector organization to have been selected as a Procurement Agent for any Public Health Programme at the National level under the MoHFW, GoI. In the recent past, SAMS has graduated to providing services through e-procurement (a Govt. of India Enterprise) portal.
As a Procurement Agency, SAMS is currently involved in
(1) Procurement of ARV drugs, Equipment, Medical supplies and related services for National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and
(2) Procurement of Diagnostics and other Lab Equipment and Consumables for Revised National TB Control Programme (RNTCP) accredited Laboratories under Foundation for Innovative New Diagnosis (FIND).
SAMS Supply Chain and Inventory Management Consulting is widely recognized to be the health sector’s premier supply chain consultancy with unmatched experience in excess of 100 consultant years of managing drug logistics for a National Public Health Programme. SAMS has continuously provided Supply Chain Management (SCM) services to the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) for 17 years and has provided SCM services to National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) and National AIDS Control Organization (NACO).
Under all these assignments, SAMS has been responsible for tracking, monitoring and managing availability and utilization of drugs and other commodities at the National, State, Districts and sub-district levels, along with field visits to assess the ‘on-ground’ situations and provide sustainable solutions.
